With family session season upon us, I have been thinking a lot about how families can best prepare for their fall sessions. Of course, there are way more than three good pointers but here are a few to get you started and thinking!
- Plan ahead. Make sure you book your family session with plenty of time in advanced! That way you went feel rushed or thrown together. It is never too early to book. I am currently booking from the end of August to the end of December.
- Coordinate Colors. Pictures turn out best when families coordinate their outfits. Try wearing soft blues, greens, purples, or browns. Avoid wearing yellows, bright reds, or neon colors. Include an outfit or two with patterns but make sure to have some people in solids so that the patterns don overtake the photos.
- Just Relax. Remember that whether you are getting family pictures done for the millionth time or for the first time, I am here to help! I will guide you in your poses, fix your hair, and even show you some of the photos along the way!
With these three tips, you are bound to have a great experience during your fall session! Of course, if you ever have questions, I’m an open book so please ask! Below are some pictures from a family session at The Superstition Mountains! Just one of many pretty locations you can choose for your session!
