Payson

Payson Zachary Burton joined our family on April 17th and we couldn’t be more grateful! Payson, meaning son of peace, and Zachary, meaning remembered by God (also named after his daddy) is a name we have been considering for a long time. We wanted a name with a strong meaning that also had a history/significance with our family. Payson and Zachary together were the perfect match, especially once we got to see this adorable boy’s eyes for the first time.

I was a week and a half over due before this little man decided to make his appearance. Zach and I drove to the hospital for our schedule induction and somehow I went into natural labor shortly after we arrived. My progression was very slow and eventually I still had to be induced anyway. He was 10lbs and 3oz when he was born and we love every ounce of him!

Since he has arrived, we have been adjusting to our new sleep schedule and having a baby as a boss. (haha! but really) Thankfully, after about two weeks of being home, Payson started sleeping through the night about 75% of the time. Some of his favorite things are snuggling on mommy’s chest, stretching his arms above his head, and yawning as often as his daddy does.
